- Event name: Expert Panel: Business & AI
- Date: 2026-02-24
- Location: IE University
Summary: Panel discussion on how organizations are integrating AI into their daily operations. The conversation covered practical AI adoption, the challenges of change resistance, and where the biggest opportunities lie for innovation.
A summary of my contributions:
- AI-assisted development and data annotation as the most immediate high-impact use cases in data science and engineering teams
- Data governance as an enabler: AI augmentation works best where data is already organized and governed; the hardest areas are those with organizational change resistance.
- Risk and exposure as a decision framework for deciding what to automate vs. keep human: the higher the risk or the more public-facing the task, the more human oversight is needed
- Adoption and leadership as the real bottleneck: the technology is advancing fast, but success depends on managing change, having strong leadership, and securing C-level support along with advocates across the organization
- Personalization and content moderation as major innovation opportunities in marketplace businesses, with potential to enrich the entire user journey
